The Sonoma County Farm Bureau is the best kept secret in Sonoma County. For all who visit this site, I am here to share with you a small glimpse of why you should be a member of the Sonoma County Farm Bureau.

The Sonoma County Farm Bureau is our member’s link to action and better representation, providing advocacy on important issues affecting farming businesses and in educating the public about the importance of agriculture in their daily lives.

As your Executive Director and fourth generation rancher, I am committed to representing all commodity groups and systems of farming in a way that is supportive of each one’s unique needs. While that can be a challenging task, I believe that it is imperative that agriculture remain a strong and viable part of the local economy.

Whether you are a part of the agricultural community, consumer or resident of the county, you should consider becoming a Farm Bureau member. Doing so will support the long term viability of our local agriculture and help to insure that others remain in farming so that we can all enjoy the beauty and scenic environmental benefits it brings to our community.

Ironically, we don’t think twice about insurance for our home, health, business or auto’s. Why wouldn’t we apply the same good business principles to ensure that our community has a strong rural presence for many years to come?

I can assure you that your Farm Bureau membership will be the least expensive of any insurance policy you might invest in to protect your farm or your farm interests.

If you and your family are involved in production agriculture, then you should be a Farm Bureau member. Farm Bureau memberships enable us to work for you on farm policy, property rights, regulatory issues and helping to sustain a positive pro agri-business environment. Farm Bureau has been around since 1917 as the “Voice of Agriculture”, working on behalf of farmers and ranchers, because we care.

If you are a service related business that supports agricultural businesses, your own business success may depend on the strength of the agricultural sector, so you too should be a Farm Bureau member, because we share the same goals.

Or, if you work in an agricultural related field, you too have a vested interest in seeing agricultural operations prosper because they offer jobs and a wonderful environment in which to live and work, which we too appreciate.
